Investigating the hybrid textures of neutrino mass matrix for near maximal atmospheric neutrino mixing
In the present paper, we have studied that the implication of a large value
of the effective Majorana neutrino mass in case of neutrino mass matrices
having either two equal elements and one zero element (popularly known as
hybrid texture) or two equal cofactors and one zero minor (popularly known as
inverse hybrid texture) in the flavor basis. In each of these cases, four out
of sixty phenomenologically possible patterns predict near maximal atmospheric
neutrino mixing angle in the limit of large effective Majorana neutrino mass.
This feature remains irrespective of the experimental data on solar and reactor
mixing angles. In addition, we have also performed the comparative study of all
the viable cases of hybrid and inverse hybrid textures at 3 CL
Texture One Zero Dirac Neutrino Mass Matrix With Vanishing Determinant or Trace Condition
In the light of non-zero and relatively large value of rector mixing angle
(), we have performed a detailed analysis of texture one zero
neutrino mass matrix in the scenario of vanishing determinant/trace
conditions , assuming the Dirac nature of neutrinos. In both the scenarios,
normal mass ordering is ruled out for all the six possibilities of ,
however for inverted mass ordering, only two are found to be viable with the
current neutrino oscillation data at confidence level. Numerical and
some approximate analytical results are presented.Comment: 27 pages, 6 figures, Accepted for Publication in Nuclear Physics
The Texture One Zero Neutrino Mass Matrix With Vanishing Trace
In the light of latest neutrino oscillation data, we have investigated the
one zero Majorana neutrino mass matrix with zero sum condition of
mass eigen values in the flavor basis, where charged lepton mass matrix is
diagonal. Among the six possible one-zero cases, it is found that only five can
survive the current experimental data, while case with (1, 1) vanishing element
of is ruled out, if zero trace condition is imposed at 3
confidence level (CL). Numerical and some approximate analytical results are
presented
Testing Texture Two Zero Neutrino Mass Matrices Under Current Experimental Scenario
The latest data from Planck collaboration has presented an improved
sensitivity limit of the sum of neutrino masses (), at
95 confidence level (CL). On the other hand, the updated global fits of
neutrino oscillation have shown a refined range of atmospheric mixing angle
at the same CL. In the light of these observations, we have
re-investigated the five viable cases ( and ) of texture
two zero Majorana mass matrix in the flavor basis. Using the present Planck's
data, we have demonstrated that only cases and are now viable
for normal mass ordering, while remaining three cases does not meet the present
experimental constraints at 2 CL. The viable cases are also found to be
in agreement with the latest T2K, Super-Kamiokande and NOA results,
indicating the preference for normal neutrino mass ordering (), a maximal Dirac CP-violating phase (),
and upper octant of neutrino mixing angle (). In
addition, the implication of on neutrinoless double beta decay is
studied for viable cases.Comment: 10 figures, 2 table
Indian Institutional Repositories (IRs) reflected in the Directory of Open Access Repository (DOAR): A Case Study
Open access resources are an essential part of the academic community by which students, researchers, and even faculties get useful resources to pursue their academic requirements. Open access repositories enhance the visibility of scholarly publications and improve the collaboration among the authors with the support of global networks. Open access institutional repository provides a platform to showcase the intellectual works of an individual organisation. At present a total of 5414 repositories were found on DOAR from all countries on different subjects. Out of 5414, 96 repositories were from India. The analysis presented in this study is based on selected criteria like software used, size of items, content included, languages and policy used, etc. This study explores the prominence of open access institutional repositories of India reflected in the Directory of Open Access Institutional Repository (DOAR). Authors made to visualize India\u27s contribution to repository type, disciplines, languages covered, and software used for building the Institutional Repository (IR) to communicate it better. As a concluding remark, the authors elucidated the opportunities and threats associated with the development of OAIR to meet the educational requirements of the academic community
